So get this. A year back, maybe two, I lost count-
I had to switch from my Internet Explorer (Yup, I was a IE-babe) to Google Chrome (And did I mention I didn't even use the Google search engine before, I was YAHOO baby!) in order to use the Muro program deviantArt had announced.

I had a tablet, I wanted to try this out.

NAY! Said the all powerful interwebz!
Yee shall have to switch browser to GC in order to use this feature!!
Oh yeah? Well F*CK YOU! I replied, nice and relaxed, y'know, levelheaded.

But time came and time went and my fingers and eyes were both twitching at the uppertunity to to try this shizz out!
So.... I crawled to the cross, to where my IE browser was, I opened a tab and I searched.... For Google Chrome...

For a while, things were iffy between us. I wanted all my old webcomic bookmarks and it simply laughed and refused to integrate them. (Which in hindsight was good that I didn't know how to do. I suddenly had more time on my hands.) And I would still search with Yahoo on it, making it grit it's teeth and spit out grainy bits in my face.

What a pair we made!
Then I got around to trying Muro, which had been my ultimate goal.
And it was okay... I figured it wasn't anything to change browsers for, BUT, I had to admit, GC ran smoother than IE did.

And so we became Prom King and Queen and I enjoyed some muro, especially after they got layers into it. <3

But then... A week or so back... A new feature was announced for the muro. It would have a "redraw" feature, so you could show what and how you did it, to your friends!? My eyes glistened with renewed interest and slack-jawed I clicked the link, eager to create!

Only to have my GC freeze up, unable to accept the IU that the new feature put on it. To say the least... I raged.

I raged more than a hormonal teenage boy raged when losing his pimped out WoW account. (No offense, I know hard work goes into those.)

Though I let it pass. For a week.

Because I thought, okay, okay, they have bugs to weed out. (Which makes no sense, you use bug-spray for those critters.)

I tried reopening the feature again and again.
And then I saw people in my watch list had started POSTING their Redraw's. Well, it was the final straw. I got pissed, leveled a city with my bare hands and then went to my corner and rocked back and forth for eight hours.

Though, a small part of my mind, that hadn't exploded in rage, moved the cursor arrow to my program menu. My friend had yesterday told me that tumblr, something GC also had trouble with, might work with IE. And she had blessfully never been converted from IE to begin with.

So, swallowing my pride (And possibly my tongue) I clicked IE and loaded deviantArt, for the first time in what felt like over a year.

Clicking on the.... Pink (?) Muro icon, I waited it to be another lagfest/freeze up...
But it didn't. The example video even bufferem, it worked when I clicked Play!

So does this mean... That I have to go back to my old flame. To my old friend through many many years!?

I don't know yet. I hate having to use two browsers. So if dA works fine with IE now, I'm dumping GC faster than a hot potato on a Texan BBQ party.

Thanks for listening to my rant, I just needed to get this out of my system!
Take care guys! <3

Bhahah, I'm sorry at your frustration, but you really know how to make an entertaining rant! =p

Browsers... are one of the most stubborn, annoying aspects of computers. Always have been. Anyone into web design can tell you, you'll make this beautiful, perfect layout, and then see it on another computer or browser and it looks like someone took a ahem dump on the screen.... So yeah. =p

I've had to switch browsers multiple times. I stuck with IE for a very long time, but I finally gave into Firefox for the tabbed browsing feature. Back then, Firefox just ultimately ran much better. A dozen windows in IE meant that much more RAM, but Firefox wasn't using nearly as much.

And then Firefox was having issue after issue of memory leak, and I finally caved into getting Chrome. But now, even that has issues. Literally have not been able to do certain things with Chrome, but I haven't figured that out.

These days, I just use both. It's whatever I happen to click first, funny enough, and I don't even realize what I'm doing when I do it.

Hopefully, you'll be able to settle down with a nice browser one day who is everything one could ever want in a browser. Marry, have children... Wait. Uh. Browse the web. Yes, that's it. :)
